So, I’ve been gingerkatiesparkles on the web since 2006 so I figured I should park the domain name. It’s mine, all mine, I tells ya.
I don’t intend for this to be terribly public – I have other outward facing sites for that (check out Learn What You Live, for one). But I fancied some musings that I didn’t have to think too much about.
The main thing I want to document is the process of figuring out how to design a new web app. Because I’m gonna, oh yes I am. Honest. In my spare time, of course.
So, first, a bit of useful background – I was a software engineer in my time, with some developing and bug fixing in C within an enterprise environment. Then I left to home educate my kids – still doing that, they’re between 7 and 13 now and I just figured out next year is going to be my busiest yet (with 4 GCSE exams planned at the end of the year – 3 of which are on me – and 7-ish GCSE subjects on the go across the older two; plus of course the other two children…). So clearly it’s a great time to dive into new business ventures.
Next post – where I’m at.
